Swiya Murti is a Psychoeducational Interventionist with a focus on applying research in psychology and neuroscience to the context of education and academic performance. She is the Coordinator of the PUPIL Clinic (Program Using Psychoeducational Intervention for Learning).
She completed her PhD at the University of Cambridge (UK) in the Centre for Neuroscience in Education. Her thesis was on cognitive skills underlying mathematics development. Her Masters in Arts is from the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology and Special Education (ECPS) at the University of British Columbia. Her Honours Bachelor of Science in Behavioural Neuroscience is from McMaster University.
Swiya was a sessional lecturer for the Bachelor of Education program at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT). She previously worked in an elementary school providing cognitive training to children with learning disabilities.
