Somayyeh is currently completing her PhD in Clinical and Counselling Psychology and completing this degree at the University of Toronto, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). Somayyeh has extensive experience providing assessment and therapy to the adult population. She offers psychological assessment and treatment for clients with a range of social-emotional and behavioral concerns, such as mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and stressful life events, anger problems, OCD, loss and grief, and relationship challenges. Somayyeh implements evidence-based collaborative approaches incorporating therapeutic modalities such as Emotion-Focused-therapy (EFT), Dialectical-Behavioral-Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioral-Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and Cognitive-Processing-Therapy (CPT). Somayyeh is also proficient in administering and interpreting a wide range of psychoeducational and psychodiagnostics assessments. She is currently supervised by Dr. Kenneth Kwan, PhD, C. Psych. Somayyeh is fluent in English and Persian and provides services in both languages.
