Dr. Wilson practices using several evidence-based therapeutic modalities including: cognitive behaviour therapy, emotion-focused therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, brief/solution-focused, and acceptance and commitment therapy. In working with you, with your unique set of strengths and needs, she will use an integrative and tailored approach to meet you where you are while working towards the goals that are most important to you. Parent consultation services can also be accessed for those parents looking for strategies to best support their children through difficult times.
Dr. Wilson strives to work in a culturally responsive manner and to create a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship to best meet client needs.
In addition to her private work, Dr. Wilson is a Psychologist (Supervised Practice) at a youth detention facility where she provides treatment to youth with complex mental health needs and provides consultation to staff on how to best support youth.
