Katherine is Coordinator of High Performance and Sport Psychology Mental Health Services with Psychological & Counselling Services Group.
Katherine is a psychotherapist who completed her Master of Education degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy through the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto.
Her primary client group is adults with a wide range of presenting problems. She has training in several areas including Emotion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Training, Career and Educational Counselling, and Group Therapy.
Katherine has also completed a Master’s degree and a PhD at the University of Alberta specializing in sport psychology. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Toronto.
She conducts research and teaches courses on sport psychology, stress and coping, emotion regulation, and youth sport. She has over ten years of experience working with athletes, coaches, and sport teams across a range of settings, including varsity sports and with professional and Olympic athletes and coaches. Her work in these areas includes issues relating to performance problems, confidence, anxiety, interpersonal problems with coaches and teammates, career development and athletic identity, dealing with concussions and injuries, as well as perfectionism and burnout.
