Katrina Guevara

Katrina Guevara graduated from the Masters in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy program at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Toronto as well as a Bachelor of Social Work from Laurentian University with a specialization in working with Indigenous populations. Katrina has worked with marginalized and vulnerable populations since 2020 in community agency settings, which fostered her commitment to anti-oppressive and trauma-informed practices in treatment.
Katrina utilizes an integrative approach to counselling, drawing on multiple therapeutic modalities depending on specific needs, situations, and hopes for therapy. She is informed by the following modalities: Feminist, Cultural-Relational, Humanistic, Emotion-Focused and Mindfulness. Katrina believes that the therapeutic process is dynamic and collaborative. She aims to co-create an atmosphere of safety and warmth to facilitate self-exploration and growth.
